1. Choose Your Cabinet
Before you purchase a humidor you need to first determine how many cigars you want to store keeping in mind your current cigar collection and the future growth you may want to achieve. Once you know that number you can then pick a cabinet that can manage your ideal cigar capacity.
Choose the type of cigar humidor cabinet that meets your needs. Our family of fine furniture humidors includes end tables, armoires, display cabinets, lockers and vaults in various sizes designed to hold 500-2000 cigars.
Things to Consider
- Determine exactly where the humidor will be located
- If you’re placing the humidor where the temperature will affect your humidity control, consider a cigar cabinet with temperature control.
- You will want to make sure that the cigar humidor or cabinet meshes with your style and home décor.
- Decide if you will purchase a standard cabinet or need to design a custom cabinet, a built-in humidor cabinet or cigar lockers.
- Based on your cigar collection, choose the interior components. Storing loose cigars? You’ll need components like bins with dividers. Looking for long-term box storage? Choose interior components like shelves. Both bins and shelves work in end tables, armoires, and displays.
2. Pick Your System
Next, choose the type of cigar humidification system for your humidor cabinet. All of our cigar cabinets are equipped with a standard electronic analog system. You can upgrade your system to our Guardian digital system or opt for our Climatech system, which includes temperature control along with humidification. All systems provide worry-free cigar storage for your prized collection.
3. Determine Your Cabinet Style
Your new cigar furniture should match your taste. We build contemporary or traditional furniture styles, or can design just about anything to meet your expectations! Message our sales team 24/7 and we’ll get in touch!
Traditional
With the look of a classic, old-style piece, this humidor is crafted with curved edges, brass hardware, and a wooden base or legs.
Contemporary
This style has a square profile, contemporary-styled legs, and nickel hardware, giving a nod to modern furniture making.
Not fond of these styles? We’ll design and build a custom humidor that meets any style. Contact us to discuss your dream cigar cabinet:

4. Wood & Finish
The wood and finish you choose for your humidor are what will ultimately provide its characteristics and give it its uniqueness profile.
Exterior Wood: Mahogany is the most widely used wood for the exterior of any humidor we build.
- It is resistant to decay, warping, mold, and mildew
- It is grown in the same environment as tobacco and therefore has similarities
- Custom wood types include: Cherry, Walnut, Oak, Red Oak, White Oak, Maple, Birds Eye Maple, Bamboo
- Mahogany lines the CABINETS
- Spanish cedar lines the DRAWERS. Loose cigars stored in drawers should be next to Spanish cedar as its aroma marries with the tobacco to enhance the taste.
- Standard finishes include Harvest, Chestnut, Espresso, and Ebony
- Custom finishes are available for a fee
- Interior wood is left unfinished so it can absorb and hold the humidity to maintain homeostasis

We can also accommodate custom wood species, just let us know what you want.
